Things to Know Before You Book
- Due to limited capacity, reservations are highly recommended. Walk-in guests will be accommodated on the next available tour and may experience a wait.
- Cave entry and exit require navigating a 126-step stairway—roughly an eight-story descent and climb. Handrails are provided.
- The cave is not wheelchair accessible. Due to the stairs and sloped pathways, strollers, walkers and similar mobility devices cannot be accommodated.
- The guided tour covers approximately ¼ mile along gravel and concrete pathways.Total round-trip is about ½ mile. Surfaces are uneven in places but generally easy to navigate.
- Some areas may be wet and slippery. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes with good traction that you do not mind getting a little wet.
- The cave remains 66°F year-round. With humidity near 100%, it feels closer to 72°F for most guests.
- Only trained service animals are permitted on tours.
- Photography is encouraged, and flash photography is welcome! For the safety and comfort of all guests as well as the cave, tripods and similar equipment are not permitted.
- Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled tour to check in at the gift shop.
- If you arrive five to ten minutes after your scheduled tour time, you may be placed on the next available tour.
- Only trained service animals are allowed on tour.
- Free parking is available.
