What to Expect
Embark on a captivating educational journey at our farm, nestled within the lush landscapes of Hilo, Hawaii. Your adventure begins at our Visitor Center, where a knowledgeable guide welcomes you to learn about the Tree-to-Chocolate process in a 1-hour tour.
A quick note before you book: In May 2026 a fire destroyed our production warehouse, and we are rebuilding.
Update 8/8/2026: We are still in the process of cleaning and rebuilding our production facility, but we are happy to announce that our fermentation and drying room is now ready for tour guests again.
We have also recreated a “Chocolate Lounge” on our lanai; there, your guide will bring the chocolate-making process to life through a video presentation and chocolate sampling.
As you glide through our vibrant cacao orchard, you'll discover the unique growing conditions that contribute to the remarkable flavor profiles of our chocolate, earning Hawai'i-grown cacao its reputation as some of the finest in the world. You will also stop in one of our orchards to learn more about the anatomy of cacao, tasting the fresh fruit while you are there.
Then settle in for a guided tasting featuring a rotating selection of treats from the farm, which may include estate and partner-crafted chocolates, and dried and roasted cacao nibs, all reflecting Hilo's distinct terroir.
Your visit concludes back at our charming Visitor Center, where you can browse artisanal chocolates and local products, perfect souvenirs to remember your sweet adventure. You'll leave with a deeper understanding of sustainable farming, the story of cacao in Hawaii, and perhaps a newfound passion for chocolate.

Waivers Required
We are a working farm, so all tour guests are required to sign a Waiver of Liability prior to joining the tour. If a guest declines to sign, they will not be able to join and a refund will not be issued.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy:
nCustomers may receive a full refund or reschedule their tour at no extra cost if they provide 48 hours' notice before their scheduled tour date and time. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled tour date and/or time. If you reschedule your tour within 48 hours of the scheduled time to a different date and time, there will be a $30.00 rescheduling fee. No further changes, rescheduling, or refunds will be allowed once the change is made, or if the group is unable to attend the rescheduled tour.
nCustomers will receive a full refund or may reschedule at no extra cost if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

nLate Arrival Policy for Tours:
nWe ask that guests arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour time to check in. Tours leave promptly at the scheduled time, whether the entire group is there or not. We provide shuttling to meet up with the tour for those guests that arrive up to 15 minutes after the scheduled tour time. All tour groups will be subject to cancellation and all payments will be non-refundable if the group arrives 15 minutes past the tour reservation start time. Please ensure that you arrive on time to your tour reservation.
nNo Shows:
nAll tour groups who do not show up to their tours will be deemed a no show and payments will be non-refundable.
