What to Expect
Join us for bike ride into the largest state park in Florida.
Escape the ordinary and immerse yourself in the wild nature of the Everglades on our 3.5-hour guided bike tour. This is your chance to cycle deep into the heart of Florida's 'River of Grass,' a globally unique ecosystem. Follow our guide through the grassland on your way to a cypress swamp, while looking for American alligators, birds and rare plants.
We'll cover 4 to 6 miles (6.44 – 9.66 km) of Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park. The journey will take us through two distinct habitats:
Grassland Prairie: We'll start by pedaling through the vast, open grassland—the famous sawgrass prairie.
Cypress Swamp: We'll transition into a shady, mysterious cypress swamp, offering a change in scenery and cover.
Terrain: Generally flat with loose gravel trails. Trail conditions vary seasonally, ranging from dry to having standing water and muddy areas.
Exposure: Expect a mix of sun & shade
Essential Safety & Gear: A helmet is mandatory and will be provided (or you may bring your own).
Shoes must be worn that fully cover and stay secured to your feet (no flip-flops or open sandals).

Activity Level: Moderate. Participants must be capable of comfortably riding a bicycle for the full distance of 6 to 8 miles. We will take short, frequent breaks to view wildlife and to interpret the landscape.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a reservation or reduce the number of guests, you must call us at least 72 hours before your departure time to receive a full refund, otherwise you will be charged full price. If you increase the number of guests without calling in advance, we may not be able to accommodate the added guests. If we cancel your reservation because of unforeseen events, you’ll receive a full refund.
nPlease arrive at least 15 minutes before your departure time to avoid delays. We'll do our best to start on time, but sometimes unforeseen events may delay your departure time beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding.
