Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) Diver

Do you want to extend your bottom time, shorten your surface interval, and maximize every dive? Become a NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox diver!

During this course, you will learn how to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute each dive. Your instructor will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen; advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Depth; use of EANx with standard Air Dive Tables; common gas mixing procedures; and more.

Minimum age for participation is 10 years (Junior EANx certification) or 15 years (EANx certification). Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to utilize EANx (up to EAN40) in open water diving activities without direct supervision.

Your course will begin with NAUI eLearning, including topic quiz's and a final exam. You are required to complete your eLearning prior to your scheduled class meeting (approx. 1-2 hours). During your class meeting we will review the following list of topics:

The classroom portion of this course will be conducted virtually on the date & time of your booking.
