What to Expect
Join Naturalist guided whale-watching excursions from Santa Cruz that explore Monterey Bay’s rich marine wildlife. Summer trips focus on Humpback Whales, Orcas and Blue Whales feeding off the coast, while winter cruises follow Gray Whale migration routes. Year-round whales with a very high sighting rate. Expect engaging naturalist commentary, frequent encounters with dolphins, sea lions and sea otters, and opportunities to see spectacular behaviors like breaching and tail throws. Trips run rain or shine and depart from Dock F at 789 Mariner Park Way, Santa Cruz.

Boats must maintain a minimum 100-yard distance from whales & wildlife.
Life jackets are available but not mandatory to wear, for emergency only.
Coolers longer than 20 inches are not permitted.
