Wildlife! Wildlife! Wildlife! Departing from Big Sky & West Yellowstone, MT this tour takes you through the famous Lamar Valley, known as the Serengeti of the West. It's home to vast bison herds, elk, and dramatic predator-prey interactions. This region offers the best chances to spot wolves and other wildlife, especially in spring and fall when activity peaks.

Once finished with Lamar Valley we continue to complete the "Upper Loop" of Yellowstone and go to Mammoth Hot Springs where we view both the lower and upper terraces, Norris Geyser Basin and Gibbon Falls. This is a great "second tour" option to those also doing our Lower Loop of Yellowstone or the Yellowstone Group Tour - West.

What to Bring

We recommend comfortable clothing for changing weather conditions. Days can be cool, so a light jacket is often a good idea. Closed-toe shoes are best for walking boardwalks and uneven terrain.
We also recommend:
- Sunscreen for protection from high-altitude sun
- A refillable water bottle to reduce waste
- Rain Jacket or Umbrella if necessary
- And of course your camera!

Pickup Info

This tour includes pick up at your hotel or place in West Yelowstone at 7am and at a central meeting point in Big Sky (The Wilson Hotel) at 6am. We will return between 3-4pm in West Yellowstone and 4-5pm in Big Sky.
