What to Expect
Join us for this FREE program in partnership with Tara Lila LLC!
Learn the basics of using a compass to navigate and then put your newfound skills to the test by following a pre-set course through Tara Lila's beautiful trail system.
This class will take place on October 17th from 12-3pm starting at Trees For Tomorrow's campus for some classroom instruction before heading to the field to apply new skills. Compasses will be available to borrow for the duration of the class.
Bathrooms will be available at Trees For Tomorrow before we head to our field location. Participants are encouraged to wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Water bottles are recommended.
This Tara Lila sponsored program is FREE to the public, although pre-registration is required, and spaces are limited. Orienteering is suggested for participants 5 years of age and older. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Young children may find the use of a compass difficult, but with assistance from an adult, we are confident they can learn the new skill as well!
