Beer Barons Tour at Forest Home Cemetery Presented by Historic Milwaukee, Inc.

Please note this tour includes uneven ground and a moderate to brisk pace. Standing and walking for 90 minutes is required.

Beer made Milwaukee famous! On this tour, you’ll explore some of the reasons that Milwaukee was such an ideal place to run a brewery and hear about many of the major four breweries including Schlitz, Pabst and Blatz. In addition, the burial plots at Forest Home Cemetery hold many of the inventors, workers and business owners who helped to produce the necessary materials to brew, bottle and sell these famous labels. By the end, you’ll have a better sense of the beer industry in Milwaukee and not just our famous Beer Barons.

Proceeds from this tour benefit Historic Milwaukee, Inc. and Forest Home Cemetery & Arboretum.
