Bronzeville / Harambee Mural Bus Tour

Art-Tours MKE transport tour of Milwaukee’s Bronzeville/Harambee neighborhoods provides a vivid look into one of the city’s most culturally rich and historically significant neighborhoods of Milwaukee’s Black culture. With a vibrant public-art and murals scene along the King Drive reflects the neighborhood’s social history and community life. Murals throughout the district serve as storytelling devices that honor legacy, amplify contemporary voices, and reclaim space through creativity. The tour starts at Thrive On, a cultural anchor in the Bronzeville neighborhood, that showcases the talent of Milwaukee’s artists and houses a welcoming cafe. The tour also visits The Bronzeville Center for the Arts where you will view the current exhibition and learn about the history of the African American art. As our guest, you will get a behind the scenes visit to a local artist’s studio and engage in an art making project led by one of the neighborhood’s practicing artists that call the Bronzeville / Harambee neighborhood home.
