What to Expect

Experience extreme whitewater rafting on the Gauley River’s Class IV/V rapids with one of our expert guides. This high-adrenaline day trip features immediate river entry with dam releases, dramatic drops and boulder-strewn terrain, plus the famed Sweets Falls. The outing includes a catered buffet lunch with a prime view of rafts running the Falls. Guests check in at BaseCamp, receive full safety briefing and gear, and travel by bus to the river for an unforgettable guided adventure.

Cancellation Policy

First we recommend the cancellation insurance.
We deal with each situation on a case by case basis.
If you are unable to make the scheduled trip date rain checks are the normal agenda.

  • 30 days' notice = 50% refund for rafting trips; $25+ per reservation for accommodations (see lodging details).
  • 3-29 days' notice: no refunds, trips may be rescheduled for guest convenience.
  • Less than 72 hour's notice and/or No Shows: no refunds, no credit toward rescheduling.
  • No refunds at any time on prepaid gift certificates, trip vouchers, or special offers/sale prices.

Guests are NOT permitted to raft under the undue influence of any substance, prescription or recreational, or if they are deemed to be mentally, emotionally, or behaviorally unprepared or combative. Such situations will be subject to either the Rescheduling or Cancellation terms at the discretion of West Virginia Adventures.
