What to Expect

This family-friendly afternoon rafting trip on the Upper New River winds through national park scenery and gentle Class I and II rapids, making it ideal for children and adults ages 5 and up. Private rafts with an experienced guide create a personalized experience where guests can paddle, swim, and play in calm stretches. Along the route enjoy scenic mountain views, historic mining remnants, and abundant birdlife — sometimes including bald eagles. Guides outfit guests with safety gear and lead a relaxed, fun float suitable for families.

  • Less than 72 hour's notice and/or No Shows: no refunds, no credit toward rescheduling.

  • No refunds at any time on prepaid gift certificates, trip vouchers, or special offers/sale prices.

Guests are NOT permitted to raft under the undue influence of any substance, prescription or recreational, or if they are deemed to be mentally, emotionally, or behaviorally unprepared or combative. Such situations will be subject to either the Rescheduling or Cancellation terms at the discretion of West Virginia Adventures.
