What to Expect

With infamous Class Vs like Pillow Rock and Lost Paddle, the Upper Gauley is a full day of continuous excitement and fun. There are so many exhilarating rapids, it’s very easy to forget to look around and experience the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. And did we mention the 14-foot waterfall at Sweet’s Falls?

Come make an annual whitewater pilgrimage down one of the best whitewater trips in the world. You’re going to have something to smile about at the end of the day.

Includes

Lunch is provided for full-day trips. Make sure to bring sunscreen, swimwear, sandals or river shoes that have a heel strap. You may also want to bring a change of clothes to put on once the trip is over at base camp.

Cancellation Policy

NEW RIVER / GAULEY RIVER CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations thirty (30) days prior to your reservation date entitle you to a full refund minus a 15% processing fee. Cancellations less than 30 days out no refunds will be issued.

Any changes for all reservations, Rafting, Horseback riding, and Lodging are subject to a fee for:

Date Changes made to any reservation less than 1 week prior will be charged a fee of $75.00 for this change less than 3 days prior will be charged $130.00 for that change.

If a change is made the day of a trip to the rafting or horseback riding or Lodging the fee for that change will then be 175.00.

Any credits that may be reviewed and issued after the 30 day mark will only be issued as a gift card that will be less 25% of the purchased value paid. This gift card is only good for 1 year from the date it is issued. No Cash or credit card refunds will be issued.
