About the Tug Fork River:
The Tug Fork River stretches approximately 159 miles, originating near the Virginia state line in McDowell County, West Virginia, and flowing northward to Louisa, Kentucky, where it joins the Levisa Fork to form the Big Sandy River. This unique river is part of the Mississippi River watershed and offers a peaceful setting for both novice and experienced kayakers.
