Field Trips - Open all Year Long

What to Expect

Join Farmer Rachel as she walks each child through an educational experience on the farm.

Time slots: Two-hour window (9:30-11:30 and/or 12:30-2:30) per group

Group size:

  • 25 to 30 are perfect and manageable for the farm. If your student size is larger, then we can split up the group into different time slots

Ages:

  • Farmer Rachel will adjust her teaching based on age group. K through 6 are the most appropriate age groups for the farm however we can accommodate older groups
  • Chaperones: Based on group sizes, we require chaperones. This is for safety

Parking: Parking is limited (About 25 cars), so we ask that you bring the children in a shuttle or carpool where possible

Activities:

  • Let's learn about what plants need to grow
  • Compost sifting - kid-size sifters and one large one. Find worms

Petting area:

  • Spend time with the animals (Goats, Chickens, Rabbits, and one duck named Luna) and maybe even see a chicken lay an egg
    Play space in the woods with sensory areas and science activities

Costs:

  • The base price is $12 per child. If special activities are requested, the price will adjust
  • Paid Teachers are free and one chaperon per 10 children is free. If parents would like to join there is a $12 per adult fee

Cancellation Policy

By securing the date with a non-refundable deposit we block that time out so nobody else can reserve it. Your deposit (40%) is to secure the date and is nonrefundable.

Cancelation - In the unlikely event, that Vaughn’s Farm needs to cancel your event we will refund all funds in full (Including deposits).
nThe customer may cancel the event up to five days before the event date. If you do so Vaughn’s Farm will issue a refund of any payments above the nonrefundable deposits. On day four the customer will half of any funds paid (not including the nonrefundable deposit). If a customer cancels within 24 hours of the event they forfeit all funds received.
