What to Expect

Join us on the waterfront for a Salty Social! These casual community gatherings are all about bringing people together to enjoy Bellingham Bay. Whether we're hosting a laid-back beer garden, firing up the BBQ, or celebrating with a themed event, Salty Socials are a chance to connect with friends, meet new people, and enjoy the waterfront without getting on the water. Grab a bite or a drink, take in the views, and be part of the vibrant community that makes the Community Boating Center such a special place.

September 3rd- "The Dog Days are Over!" The dog days of summer are coming to an end, and it's time to show your gear some love! Join us on the waterfront for a special Salty Social featuring a Community Boating Center Warehouse Sale, and local gear repair experts ready to help breathe new life into your well-loved outdoor equipment. Browse discounted CBC gear, swap stories from summer adventures, and get everything shipshape for fall paddling and the seasons ahead. Open to all- bring your friends and share what makes this place so special!

September 8th- Volunteer Appreciation BBQ! THANK YOU volunteers for all that you do. Volunteers and a +1 welcome!

Cancellation Policy

Course fees allow us to commit our staff and equipment resources to your programs. We understand that life, the weather, and outdoor recreation can be unpredictable, and while we make every effort to see our programs run successfully, sometimes things get in the way. If The Community Boating Center cancels a program for any reason, we will work to find an alternative date or program that may fit your needs, or we can offer a full refund.

If you cancel your booking, we can refund course fees based on the timeline outlined below:

  • If more than three weeks before the start of camp/class: 90% of the fee is refundable or transferable;

  • If between one and three weeks before the start of camp/class: 50% of the fee is refundable or transferable;

*The CBC is unable to offer refunds for cancellations submitted less than one week (five business days) before the start of camp/class.
