Keelboat Race Team
What to Expect
The Keelboat Summer Race Team offers rising high school students an incredible opportunity to enhance their big boat sailing while experiencing competitive racing on Bellingham Bay. This small team, limited to 4-6 sailors with one coach, focuses on advanced training, including spinnaker work, tide chart reading, current navigation, chart plotting, and planning multi-day trips. Practices will take place on Tuesdays, with the team joining Thursday Night Racing alongside local keelboats.
Preference is given to sailors who are part of high school sailing teams, have attended keelboat camps, or have prior keelboat racing experience.
With space limited, this is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated sailors to take their skills to the next level while enjoying the camaraderie of a close-knit team.
We do not want cost to be a barrier from participation, our scholarship program can be found here.
