What to Expect

Experience the beauty of the Potomac, the history of DC and the ghosts that haunt both!

Step away from the city lights and experience Washington, D.C. from a quieter and more mysterious perspective on our Ghost and History Kayak Tour. This guided paddle explores the Potomac River after hours, blending local history, river lore, and the stories that linger long after dark.

After a brief paddling demonstration and safety overview, you will set out on a relaxed kayak tour designed for all experience levels. As you move along the water, the pace slows and the city feels farther away, creating the perfect setting for stories tied to the river’s past.

Washington, D.C. is rich in history, and where there is history, there are often ghost stories. Along the way, your guide will share tales of the Potomac’s haunted side, from long forgotten events to eerie legends connected to the river and surrounding shoreline. The calm water and nighttime setting add to the atmosphere, making this tour equal parts peaceful and intriguing.

No previous kayaking experience is necessary, and the tour is ideal for guests who enjoy history, storytelling, and a slightly spooky adventure on the water.
