What to Expect

Most of us are familiar with the salty fresh taste of a steamed clam, but have you ever thought about the years of work that go into growing them? Uniquely local in all ways, this tour will give you a newfound appreciation for the hard and rewarding work that goes into raising clams and oysters in our creeks. Our guides will take you through one of our beautiful Bayside creeks, explaining the clearly visible forms of aquaculture scattered throughout. After a short paddle you will beach your boats and walk out to an active clam bed where you can harvest your own dinner!
