Retro Boat Rentals RVA - Shirley
1.5 Hour Rental • Up to 4 People • Starting at $150 • Self-Driven
What to Expect
With fanciful fins and headlights, retro-cool colors and chrome details, we’ve kept their vintage style but retro-fitted them with electric motors. They’re quiet and environmentally friendly, allowing for conversation and to enjoy the fresh air and beauty of Richmond.
Fitting up to 4 people, these boats are perfect for a date night on the water, floating picnic, birthdays, engagement photo shoots, or any occasion to get out on the water and experience the sights and sounds of the river.
The boats are easy to drive and each rental comes with a tutorial prior to departure during which a crew member will orient you to everything you need to know for the boat. These classic boats have been repurposed for everyone to enjoy, so come on out and sea Richmond like you've never seen it before!
What to bring
Renters are welcome to bring food and beverages to enjoy out on the water! The captain is not permitted to consume any alcoholic beverages, but other passengers ages 21+ are welcome to enjoy beer, wine, champagne, canned cocktails, and seltzers.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Weather Policy
nWe offer refunds only in the event of inclement weather, as determined by Retro Boat Rentals RVA. We know no one wants to be out on the water in heavy rain, and safety and comfort are always our top priority.
nIf the weather is simply cool, overcast, or lightly cloudy, the cruise will still go on as scheduled. We recommend bringing a sweatshirt or blanket so you can stay comfortable and enjoy the experience.
nCancellations made for reasons other than inclement weather are not eligible for a refund. However, we’re happy to work with you to reschedule your booking or issue a gift certificate for a future trip.
nPlease note: No refunds will be issued for no-shows or same-day cancellations unrelated to weather.
nTrip Protection: $20 Add-On
nRetro Boat Rentals RVA offers optional cancellation protection for $20.00 per booking. With this add-on, guests may cancel their reservation up to one hour prior to departure and receive a full refund. Without trip protection, standard cancellation policies apply.
