Looking for the quintessential Coastal Virginia experience? Enjoy a scenic sail up the Rappahannock River, under the iconic Robert O. Norris Bridge and into Locklies Creek. Your destination is Merroir—an open-air waterfront restaurant and tasting room for the Rappahannock River Oyster Company—where fresh, daily-harvested oysters and small plates from the outdoor grill pair beautifully with craft brews and world-class wines. After lunch, settle in aboard Galene for a leisurely sail back to homeport, taking in the beauty and breeze of the bay. It’s an experience you won’t forget.

Includes

  • Private charter aboard Galene (36’ Columbia sailboat) for up to 4 guests

  • USCG-licensed captain at the helm

  • 5 hour charter on the Rappahannock River and its tributaries

  • Safety briefing and lifejackets for all guests

  • Option to relax and let us sail or take the helm and trim sails with light instruction

  • Use of onboard amenities (cockpit cushions, basic blankets, etc.)

  • All taxes, fuel, and marina fees related to the charter

  • Free ice is available at the marina

  • Fully stocked galley with stainless bowls, plates, and cups available for your use during the charter.

  • Lunch reservation at Merroir (we will make the reservation for you when you book your trip- the cost of lunch is not included).

Restrictions

  • Federal law requires that children under 13 wear a lifejacket unless they are inside an enclosed cabin. We provide lifejackets in a range of sizes that your child may use during the trip.
  • In accordance with federal regulations, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drug use while aboard.

Cancellation Policy

Trips canceled due to rain or high winds are entitled to a full refund. We offer free cancellation within 48 hours of booking. After that period, cancellations for any reason will forfeit a 50% deposit.
