What to Expect
Paddle with a Twin River Outfitters staff guide on the 6 mile section of the James River from Buchanan to Arcadia. Featuring a fun & exciting river section with good current and numerous Class I & II rapids. Short but fun afternoon trip. Trip departs from our Buchanan riverfront location paddles downstream to the Breeden Bottom Arcadia Campground by the Arcadia James River bridge.
The trip will be led by a knowledgeable Twin River Staff member that will sheppard the group down through the rapids pointing out interesting river features along the way. The trip includes a snack break stop along the way to enjoy some refreshments river side.
NO FISHING ON THIS TRIP. Due to the nature of having to paddle as a group, this trip does not work for fishing.

Rental of boat, paddles, life jackets, safety orientation, river maps, use of dry bags, and all required shuttles.
