Special Events- Volunteer Bike Trail Clean Up
Help clean the Jackson River Bike Trail
What to Expect
Volunteer and help us Jackson River Scenic Bike Trail clean and enjoyable for all users.
Duration
4 Hours
About
Volunteer a morning with us to walk the entire trail picking up trash, and removing limbs off the trail. We will meet at 10AM for a quick continental breakfast of pastries, juice & coffee with Alleghany Outdoors staff. After breakfast we will divide up into groups, issue trash bags & gloves then hit the trail to walk or bike the entire section looking for trash to collect and branches to clear. We will also inspect the trail for larger items such as tree limbs, potholes, or washouts that need to be worked by professional staff. Work time depends on how many volunteers we have but we should be able to cover the whole trail before lunchtime.
Free bike shuttles provided as needed.
Volunteers should be 8 years old and older.
Call our shop if you have more questions. When ready register here online so we know you are coming.
