What to Expect

⚠️ Travel Alert: 2026 Logistics Update: HWY 128 Construction

Due to a major BLM and UDOT project to extend the public bike path, Highway 128 (River Road) will be reduced to a single lane with active traffic control from March 9th through October 31st, 2026.

What This Means for You

To avoid significant construction delays and pilot car queues, we have adjusted our meeting location:

• New Meeting Location: Grand County Transit Hub • Location Details: Located at the intersection of HWY 191 and HWY 128, directly across from the Colorado River. • Return Trip: It is a scenic 3.2-mile pedal along the paved Colorado River bike path from the bottom of Porcupine Rim back to your vehicle at the Transit Hub.

Please find directions below.

Flying Porcupine:

Is a best day ever. Combining some of Moab’s best terrain into a single, efficient, awesome experience. Not to be missed. Once you ride it, you will want to do it again……and again. Eagle Eye, Hawks Glide, LPS, and Porcupine Rim.

Moab’s most popular trail combo is a best day ever.
Combining some of Moab’s best terrain into a single, efficent, awesome experience. Not to be missed. Once you ride it, you will want to do it again……and again.

Raptor-Pine is comprised of Eagle Eye, Hawks Glide, LPS, and Porcupine Rim. This gives you the most bang for your buck with two shuttle rides, a 4800-foot descent spanning over 18 miles. Provides Moab flow, flow tech, chunky chunder, drops, features, magnificent views, and SICK single track.

HOW IT WORKS:

The first shuttle drops at the Eagle Eye trailhead. Rip down Eagle Eye, and Hawks Glide to meet the second shuttle for a ride back up to the LPS Trailhead. Next ride down LPS and Porcupine Rim to the Colorado River.

If you are fit and the weather and time permit, we highly recommend:

Extending Your Ride: UPS Full or Lower Section

If you're looking to ride a bit more, a short pedal from the drop-off point leads to the access trail for UPS (Upper Porcupine Singletrack). This allows you to ride one of the seven trails that comprise the Whole Enchilada system, offering a substantial ride without the all-day commitment of the full “WE."

Accessing UPS:

• Lower UPS: Pedal 0.25 miles from the drop-off point to
Porcupine Rim Campground.

• Entire UPS: (Upper, Middle, Lower):

º Pedal 1.2 miles up the road to the Kokopelli Trail entrance.

º Continue an additional 1.7 miles to the UPS trailhead.

º Note: This option adds 3 miles and 600 feet of climbing.

Exit UPS at Stop Sign #3 (LPS/UPS connector) and connect
to Eagle Eye.

Again, this is one of the best trail combinations in Moab!

NOTE: You must descend the 4 miles of Eagle Eye and Hawks Glide trail in 50 minutes to make the second shuttle back up to LPS.

There is no third shuttle.

If, for some reason, you miss the second shuttle, you will be required to pedal up 4 miles, 2000’ to reach the TH to access Porcupine Rim. Should this occur, you have two options.

  1. To access LPS, pedal 4 miles up Sand Flats road to the Eagle Eye
    LPS Trailhead.

  2. Pedal up the Porcupine Rim jeep road 3 miles to the Porcupine
    Rim overlook.
