Who can operate a vessel at Sam's Dock?

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO RENT FROM SAM'S DOCK
ANYONE BORN SEPTEMBER 1ST, 1993 OR AFTER MUST HAVE A TEXAS BOATERS SAFETY CERTIFICATE.

If you were born on or after September 1, 1993 and passed a boater education class or equivalency examination prescribed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and present your certificate at check in. Out of state valid certifications are acceptable.
If you were Born before September 1, 1993, YOU DO NOT NEED A BOATERS CERTIFICATION

All boats are equipped with life preservers, throw-able cushion, anchor & rope, fire extinguisher & our emergency phone number.

NO SWITCHING OFF AT THE DOCK AND NO BEACHING, MUST STAY 100’ FROM THE SHORELINE

  • All reservations and payments received are non-refundable

  • Bad weather with unsafe conditions such as lightning or high winds will result in a manager making the decision 2 hours prior to your start time and could result in either a cancellation with a giftcard issued to use at a future date good for one year or push back to a later time. We will not send out a boat in unsafe conditions

  • Unfavorable weather such as cloudy, cold or chance of sprinkles is not considered a bad weather day and will not result in a raincheck
    • n
  • Due to the unchanging Covid response, if the capacity is lowered and you choose to cancel due to us not being able to guarantee your guests, we will offer a giftcard to use at the location you booked. This giftcard is good for up to one year

  • If you fail to show proof of a Boaters Safety Certificate, we offer a giftcard only-NO REFUNDS! It is your responsibility to obtain this card and only then will you be allowed to drive a vessel at Sam's Dock.
