Wolf Pack Woodfired Tavern in Sealy is an old general store turned tavern, and the menu reads like a greatest-hits of Texas comfort: chicken fried steak, Texas Twinkies (jalapeño poppers stuffed with brisket and wrapped in bacon), and smoked wings. The ride west on I-10's frontage roads and farm roads is made for open-air driving — arrive hungry, because the chicken fried steak is the size of a hubcap.
