About
Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s pontoon boat will take up to 21 guests on a 90-minute excursions along Houston’s historic waterway through downtown and into the industrial side of the city. Guests can bring their own food and drink.
Reservations required.
Location
1019 Commerce Street (at Main Street), go down the cascading stairs (on your left of the 3-story brown brick building). The pontoon boat will be docked at the wharf.
Arrival & Parking
Please plan on arriving 30-minutes before the tour to allow time for parking and check-in.
Paid parking is available in the Bayou Lot behind El Centro Downtown located at 901 Commerce Street. Street parking is also available along Commerce Street.
What to Know
- All boat tours are subject to cancellation due to weather and water conditions.
- Please use the restroom before your scheduled tour.
- For their safety, children under 4 are not permitted on boat tours.
- There are 52 steps from the street level down to Allen's Landing.
What to Bring
- Dress in weather-appropriate clothing – the temperature is about 5 degrees cooler on the water.
- A portion of the boat is not covered; please wear sunscreen and a hat for sun protection.
- Filled reusable water bottles are recommended as water is not available on the boat.

Cancellation Policy
If notification of cancellation is received at least 14 days prior to a scheduled tour, there is the option of rescheduling or receiving a full refund. No-shows will be charged full price. A full refund will be given if a tour is cancelled by Buffalo Bayou Partnership. Buffalo Bayou is a natural waterway, so changes in Houston’s weather, such as flooding and fast-moving water, often affect our boat tours.
