If you are serious about becoming a successful and proficient beekeeper, this 2.5hr or so theory-only introduction class will go beyond the basics and teach you some of the more advanced concepts necessary to be a successful beekeeper.
This "Intermediate to Advanced Concepts" class is the Level 202 of our popular three-part, certificate based, "BECOMING A NATURAL BEEKEEPER SERIES" (BNB Series), and a prerequisite to our 303 Hands-On Class with Les Crowder himself (this curriculum focuses on Natural Beekeeping and is carefully crafted to ensure our students understand Natural Beekeeping principles in a holistic manner not usually discussed in conventional beekeeping classes - so all parts of the Series work together).
This fast paced and shock full of content 202 class will introduce in a holistic manner the following concepts and basics of:
- NUC and Package Installation
- NUC and Package Basic Care
- Colony Reproduction and Mating
- Swarm catching and Apiary Increases
- Most common Pests and Diseases
- Integrated Pest Management Techniques for sustainable and efficient Pest and Disease control
- Best Natural Beekeeping Practices
- Avoiding stings
- Working with the bees, not against them
- Why, when, what, and how to feed your bees
- Why, when, and how to requeen
- Main harvesting/extracting methods
- Products of the Hive

In very rare occasions, we might have to cancel/postpone due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, or because class thresholds have not been met.
While we are unable to refund booked programs, we strive to accommodate you.
Therefore, it is our pleasure to inform you that Bee Mindful class and workshop seats purchased may always:
- Be transferred to anyone you want.
- Be moved to a different date.
- Be applied to a different class or workshop of equal or higher value.
