HOME SCHOOL DAY – OCT 7

Homeschooled students and their families are invited for an educational day at the Aquarium and Kemah Boardwalk! This is a special day to learn more about our animals and explore the wonders of the aquatic world. Keeper Chats, Scavenger Hunts and a Conservation Station with purchase of Stingray Reef Admission. Enjoy Keeper Chats, Scavenger Hunts and a Conservation Station. The activities take place in our Stingray Reef.

Admission Tickets for Stingray Reef & Exhibit may be purchased on-site the day of the event. (Entry $6.99 / Value Pass $8.50 Includes Reef entry and fish food)

Included with purchase of Admission to Stingray Reef:

Exhibit Keepers Chats @ 2:30pm. (Approx. 15 minutes in duration)

Education Station featuring reptiles:

Learn the differences between Alligators and Crocodiles! Enjoy Exhibit Scavenger Hunts! (1pm-4pm)

Join us at the Aquarium during any of our special events and upgrade your visit! This is a Kemah Boardwalk-wide event, homeschoolers and their families will receive discounted rates! We are now giving guests, friends and families the chance to upgrade their experiences with a 5 hour long day camp program, Marine Biologist for a Day! Upgrade prices below include your entry admission to Stingray Reef & Exhibits!

Marine Biologist for a Day! $55. (Ages 7-12)

Drop off your child for an exciting day of exploration and hands-on learning to uncover their potential as future marine biologists. Venture behind-the-scenes for the inside scoop. Experience close encounters with aquatic species from the deep sea to the shallow reef and everywhere in between. They will even get to dissect a squid!

Home School Day Adults:
Includes access to all programing. We send out a schedule a few days prior so you can come and go as you wish. Includes unlimited access to Stingray Reef & Exhibit Entry Pass throughout the duration of the programing and event!

This program is designed for child participants. Due to space constraints in the classroom space, siblings and strollers are not allowed in the program. Does not include lunch.

Know Before You Go / Programs & Tours:

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

• The calendar on this page showcases dates and times available.
• Space is limited, advanced online reservations are required and are served on a first come, first served basis.
• Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your educational program to allow for parking to ensure your experience to the fullest extent possible at your programs start time. The program spaces are utilized at various durations throughout the day and cannot be extended beyond your scheduled time.
• Check-in for programs and tours is located at the entrance of the Nautilus Ballroom located on the 3rd floor.
• To begin your tour/program, meet in the Aquarium Restaurant in the Nautilus Ballroom with the group at the start time after checking in.
• No outside food or beverages are allowed.
• We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items the duration of the program.
• Home School Day Adults:
Includes access to all programing. We send out a schedule a few days prior so you can come and go as you wish. Includes unlimited access to Stingray Reef & Exhibit Entry Pass throughout the duration of the programing and event!
This program is designed for child participants. Due to space constraints in the classroom space, siblings and strollers are not allowed in the program. Does not include lunch.
• We will need a minimum of 10 participants to run each program, if the programing does not reach this minimum, you will be contacted and full refunds will be processed if necessary.
