What to Expect

Have you ever seen a firefly? Many people were lucky enough to see them as kids, but they're not as easy to find today. We have restored and protected firefly habitat at ABNC, and with our firefly hikes, you'll have a chance to see them in person! This program is a 2 hour night hike where we'll learn about fireflies and then go see if we can find some!

Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee the presence of fireflies during our hike as they are wildlife and can be unpredictable.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:
nPayment of fees is needed to complete your registration and is non-refundable unless the program/class/activity is cancelled by Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC) staff. If ABNC cancels for any reason, you will be given the option of applying the fees to another program or a refund. A minimum number of four people is required for the hike. You will be notified the day prior if minimum number not reached.

If you must cancel, please notify ABNC at least seven (7) days prior to the program/class/activity. If you inform us at least one week before, we will issue you a credit voucher for the full amount of your payment that may be applied to another ABNC program fee or membership. Any non-attendance or cancellation less than seven (7) days will result in the full charge of the fee. ABNC does not give cash refunds.
