Come visit Rocky Mount and gain an understanding of how it was started and became the first Capital of Southwest Territory. Historic family and friends lead you through the historic site, sharing stories as you explore the life of early Tennessee. Come see how Rocky Mount fits into the early heritage of Tennessee and prepare to be amazed by your heritage.

What to Expect:

  • This is a 1st Person Interpretive Guided Tour (Dressed in Perioding Clothing)
  • This tour type takes you through our museum and historic site to demonstrate what early life was like for our early settlers and ancestors.
  • This is an Outside Walking Tour, with stairs and inclines and the Historic Site is not entirely ADA compliant.
  • There is no A/C in the Historic House.
