What to Expect

Health and Safety Policy

Your health is our top priority, and we have put special measures in place to keep all guests safe both during and after your tour.

  • As of 3/3/22 – Visitors to Plant Spartanburg can make their own decision as to whether or not they would like to wear a mask. Due to the low infection numbers in the area, masks are now optional..
    All guests may not be ready to remove masks at this time; those who would like to continue to wear masks are encouraged to do so.
    BMW MC COVID protocols may be adjusted in the future, as necessary.

Welcome to BMW Plant Spartanburg where the Ultimate Driving Machine is produced for the world. We are happy to provide BMW Supplier Diversity guests with a tour of our production facility.

You will board a shuttle at the Greenville Convention Center and be transported to our X3 and X4 assembly hall. On the guided tour, you will see a painted body be lowered into the assembly area from the overhead conveyor system . During the assembly process, you will see X3/X4’s lifted up in the air, turned on their side, and undergo numerous quality assurance tests, and drive off as a completed vehicle.

Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. 1 factory tour reservation can be made per registered participant of the BMW Supplier Diversity Conference . At the check in process, on the day of the factory tour, each registered conference attendee will be ask to present your conference lanyard credentials. However, for additional tour guests traveling with you, please contact us for a potential waiting list opportunity to be added to these specific tours.
