What to Expect
Explore Fort Adams National Historic Landmark at your own pace between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Walk the 6 1/2 acre parade field, enter the restored casemates to read interpretive panels and displays, and view areas of past and ongoing restoration. Ascend the scenic overlook for sweeping views of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay (overlook is optional). Learn about more than 200 years of American military history, architecture, and engineering in an open‑air, mostly outdoor setting.
