About:
Have you ever dreamed of racing an America's Cup yacht? 12 Meter Yacht Charters gives you the opportunity to sail and race aboard our America's Cup 12 Meter yachts that raced in the America's Cup. Feel the exhilaration of sailing aboard our 70-foot racing contenders and setting out full speed ahead as you join us on this exciting 3-Hour Racing Experience.
Aboard the 12 Meter racing yachts our professional and friendly crew will coach those interested in a "hands on" sailing experience. Although the crew is always there to assist, your team will be grinding and trimming the sails, and even calling race tactics. As with all 12 Meter Yacht Charters' events - participation is never required! Feel free to sit back, enjoy the sights of Newport and experience the cool wind on your face as we race our America's Cup beauties!
While leaving Newport Harbor the captain will introduce the crew, explain safety instructions, and tell about the boat’s history. Although sailing experience is unnecessary, each captain will access our guests' sailing knowledge and experience to ensure each person has the best possible sail.
Before racing, the captain and crew will:
- Coach the team through racing maneuvers in preparation for the big competition!
- Help you to perfect your team performance to obtain success!
- Complete one race.
This race will include a rabbit start and be a two leg race. Use a main sail and jib sail while racing. At the conclusion of races, “dock talk” begins - congratulations and heckling! Which team will be able to sail their America’s Cup 12 Meter to victory?
Fun for sailors of all ages!
What Is Not Included?
Water is available aboard. Food and beverages are not served during the sail. However, you may bring your own non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and food.
Gratuity is not included and is welcome at your discretion.

Cancellation Policy
Refund/Rescheduling Policy
Non-refundable, can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice. Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded. You may reschedule your tickets (subject to availability) only if you do so at least 48 hours in advance. In the rare situation where the seller is forced to cancel the event prior to departure, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule tickets (subject to availability), receive credit for a future event, or receive a full refund.
Weather Policy
Activity may be cancelled due to severe weather. The activity usually runs in light rain and other moderate weather conditions, but the seller may cancel the activity up to a half an hour before the start time in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions. If the seller cancels the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule tickets (subject to availability), receive credit for a future event, or receive a full refund.
