After School Program
Ages 6-18 • 2 hours
What to Expect
The Climbing After School program's mission is to provide a space and time to teach rock climbing to boys and girls after school hours. Therefore, any student from the ages of 5 to 18 (kindergarten to 4th grade) can participate in this program.
Time to choose:
- 3:30pm to 5:30pm
- 4:00pm to 6:00pm
- 4:30pm to 6:30pm
We aim to ensure that during this time of contact with your child, all climbing activities are tailored to their age and interests. We initially evaluate each participant privately to find out what attracts them to climbing and to have their first experiences on the rock. Then they learn safety aspects and develop their own goals over time. There are very experienced children, others who are very talented, others who need to learn because they have never done it and others who need to benefit from recreating outdoors. Everyone is welcome because climbing has enormous benefits for anyone who practices it, for example: it is an excellent opportunity to work on the areas of coordination, balance, gross motor skills, planning, problem-solving, emotional management, discipline, attention and focus, analysis, channeling energy, exploring interests, contact with nature.
