Experience the reef in a completely different way on a guided night snorkeling adventure in Rincón, Puerto Rico. As daylight fades and the reef transitions into nighttime, new marine life emerges, animal behavior changes, and familiar surroundings take on a whole new feel beneath the glow of your underwater light.

With a small group and an experienced guide leading the way, you’ll discover the quieter, more mysterious side of Rincón’s underwater world.

🔹 Tour Details

• Duration: Approx. 3 hours, including check-in, gear fitting, briefing, travel, and approximately 1 hour in the water
• Maximum Group Size: 6 snorkelers per guide
• Minimum Age: 14 years old
• Experience Required: Previous snorkeling experience is required
• Meet your guide at our dive center for gear fitting and a nighttime safety and marine-life briefing.
• Take a quick drive to the snorkeling site before entering the water together.
• Explore the reef by underwater light while your guide points out nocturnal marine life and changes in animal behavior.
• Learn how the reef transforms after sunset and how different species use the reef at night.

🐙 A Different Side of the Reef

When the sun goes down, the reef changes shifts.

Some animals settle in for the night while others are just becoming active. Follow your guide through the reef as you search for nighttime marine life such as octopus, lobster, shrimp, crabs, eels, sleeping fish, and other nocturnal creatures.

Every night on the reef is different, and wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed—that’s part of the adventure!

This experience is not recommended for first-time snorkelers. Participants should be confident swimmers, comfortable using a mask, snorkel, and fins, and comfortable being in open water after dark.

Guests under 18 must participate with a parent or guardian.

One of the most exciting parts of snorkeling after dark is never knowing exactly what you’ll find.

Follow the beam of your light across the reef, look beneath ledges and around coral formations, and watch for movement as Rincón’s nighttime marine community takes over.

It’s the same reef—but an entirely different experience.

🌊 Before You Arrive

Please arrive ready for an adventure! Because this experience takes place after dark, participants should already have previous snorkeling experience and be comfortable swimming in open water.

Marine-life sightings vary each night depending on natural conditions, and sightings of any particular species cannot be guaranteed.

🚫 Weather & Cancellations

To receive a full refund, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your tour.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled tour are not eligible for a refund.

If you do not show up and do not contact us, a refund cannot be issued. Our team will attempt to reach you at the time of the tour if you’re a no-show.

Weather-Related Cancellations: Safety first! Night snorkeling is weather and ocean-conditions permitting. We may cancel, reschedule, or reroute the experience due to weather or other unavoidable circumstances. If this happens, we’ll work to reschedule your tour or offer a full refund if necessary.
