El Yunque Rainforest "Off the Beaten Path" Hiking Tour

During this fascinating and advanced hike, you’ll explore some of El Yunque Rainforest’s hidden gems within a zone of the forest less traveled by other tourists. You will navigate past rivers and waterfalls as your expert guide leads you on ‘the road less traveled.’

We will hike 25 to 30 minutes up a dirt/rock path that does include some river wading. The trail is surrounded by bamboo trees, rainforest flowers, and many other beautiful plants. Our group will stop at a collecting pool formed from the base of a waterfall. Here, you will have the chance to swim in the pool’s crystal-clear waters. This is also a great spot for picture opportunities!

After the swim, we will continue hiking on a more intense portion of the trail that includes climbing boulders. Our destination is a river in which you can swim, jump from a rope swing, and go down natural water slides.

Once the hike concludes, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (cost of meal is not included in total tour price).
