September 17: "From Plantation to Freedom," an Underground Railroad history lecture presented by Neicy DeShields-Moulton. As a York County-based genealogist and retired computer hardware engineer, Neicy DeShields-Moulton brings nearly 30 years of experience in family history research to her presentation. SPECIAL ENCORE
October 15: “A Look into Post-Civil War Memory in York County, Pennsylvania” with Brayden Danbury. This lecture takes a deeper look at how memories of the Civil War in York County have evolved from the postwar era to the present day. Through an exploration of politics, economics, reconciliation, and race, the talk examines the forces that have shaped how York County has remembered its Civil War history.
