Homeschool Canoemobile Session
Free session for homeschoolers!
What to Expect
Friday, October 9, from 9 AM until 11:30 AM will be our session dedicated to Homeschool learners.
The Wilderness Inquiry Canoemobile is a roving fleet of 24-foot, 10-passenger Voyageur canoes that travels the country to connect people to their local waterways and the great outdoors. As part of its national tour, the Canoemobile will be stopping along the Susquehanna River in Columbia, PA.
For families with younger siblings under the age of 8, please attend the public session on Saturday, October 10th at Columbia River Park. This time slot is for homeschooled students ages 8 and up and their caretakers. Students under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the canoe.
Homeschool students will learn about canoe and water safety and get out on the river to discover the Susquehanna from a new perspective. This program will be accompanied by educational land stations that explore the history, ecology, and nature of the river. The educational content is geared toward children 8 and up.
