5:00 Christmas Light Train Excursion on the Holiday Express 2026

A festive and narrated train excursion through the center of Stone Gables Estate's beloved Christmas Light Drive Thru! Beautiful views from inside the train as they twinkle

All aboard the fully decorated "Little General" known as the Harrisburg, Lincoln, and Lancaster railroad! Featured is a replica of an 1868 steam locomotive, pulling replicas of an 1848 Pioneer Coach and a mid-1860’s Combine & Day Coach. Sing along with your favorite Christmas tunes as they are broadcast throughout the passenger coaches as you make your way through Stone Gables Estate Christmas lights featuring 1.2 million Christmas Lights!

The train will cross over a 400 foot wooden open deck trestle. See the Star Barn Platform and the new Herrs Mill Extension. The extension houses the Lincoln museum and funeral car.

Beginning on December 26, Santa will be back in the North Pole.

Exclusive Departure Times:

• 5:00pm ONLY

Please note, guests planning on coming to the Christmas Village (on select dates), it concludes promptly at 3:30pm due to evening events. Guest MUST exit the property at 3:30 before re-entering for your train ride.

• Ages 3+ = $35
• Ages 2 and under = Free but must sit on a parent's lap

Your Ticket Includes:

• A narrated train ride through Stone Gables Estate Christmas Light Drive Thru!
• See the Christmas Lights by car and by train! Your train excursion ticket includes COMPLIMENTARY admission into the Christmas Light Drive Thru.
• A stop in our engine house to see the fully decorated and animated Santa's workshop
• A visit from the jolly old St. Nick himself (before Christmas). Beginning December 26th, Santa will be back in the North Pole.
• Beautiful photo ops with the train
• Exclusive viewing of the Herr's Mill Extension.
• You will receive complementary access to our Christmas Village at Ironstone Ranch. *Our Christmas Village will be open November 27, November 28, December 12, and December 19 from 10am to 3:30pm.

Address and Directions to the Train:

Enter at Brittany's Hope: 1160 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. (Please type the physical address listed above into your GPS.)

When you arrive at the Christmas Light Drive Thru, have your pre-purchased train ticket ready to gain your free admission into the light show.

Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before your train departure time.

Once you arrive, watch for signage to direct you to park. Walk to the train platform. Please check in with the Guest Services Attendant. Give the first and last name of the person who booked the tickets.

Parking & Comfort Facilities:

Parking is available near the train site (you will receive parking updates and directions in your remind email 24 hours before). Mobile restroom facilities are available near the train platform.

Attire:

Dress comfortably and weather appropriate as there can be some walking. Strollers are welcome to the estate but cannot board the train.

Weather Cancellations:

To find out if we have cancelled any train rides due to inclement weather, keep a close eye on your email, check our social media, and/or please call. Related refunds will be issued within 7-10 days.

All sales are final. Refunds will be issued by Stone Gables Estate in the unlikely event of a cancellation.

No food, drinks, animals, or smoking onboard the train.

Service animals are the only animals permitted on the property.

Guests must arrive 20 minutes prior to train departure. The train will leave promptly at 5pm each day. If you are late, you will not be accommodated. Stone Gables Estate will not issue refunds for no shows and late arrivals.
