Cost/Inclusions: The cost for this one-day trip is $325pp (add-ons are extra) & includes round-trip motorcoach transportation for the trip, breakfast/snack/dinner on the train, shopping/lunch on your own during our layover in Petersburg, light snacks & bottled water, prizes & driver tip.
Join us on a 9-hour trip to/from Petersburg. During this trip, you’ll have a layover in Petersburg where you get to explore the quaint town and enjoy the unique shops and restaurants offered there. Travel 76 miles in roughly 3 hours to Petersburg, 3 hours in Petersburg & 3 hours back to the train depot in Romney, WV. The entire train excursion is roughly 9 hours, including the layover. We travel through the Trough, where bald eagles nest! While our seating is in a dining car, there is also an Open-top Gondola car! Passengers will have time to enjoy the South Side Depot as well as shops and restaurants. Optional “Canyon to Caverns” ($25 add-on) trip to visit the renowned Smoke Hole Caverns (max of 28 ppl) during the layover.
Arrive at the historic South Side Depot in Petersburg, your gateway to the Monongahela National Forest, and experience a touch of regional charm. Browse a curated selection of crafts, pottery, and local souvenirs, while enjoying an array of food, wines, and hard cider products. As you explore the town, delve into its rich history at the Court House Museum or Fort Mulligan. Petersburg invites you to savor unique local flavors and uncover it’s fascinating heritage, making for a memorable and immersive visit. FREE busing available to get around Petersburg.

*Cancellation policy – All money is fully refundable until 45 days prior to departure, unless otherwise noted. After that, you will receive a full refund less any non-refundable charges (i.e. theater tickets, service fees, etc.- which depends on exact event & cancellation date).
