About Dickens Victorian Village:
Take a trip back in time and experience old world England as historic downtown Cambridge, Ohio is charmingly transformed into a Dickens Victorian Village each holiday season & visitors are invited to stroll amidst over 92 scenes of 180 lifelike figures representing classic scenes from the Victorian era.
This innovative public art exhibition is enjoyed by all - an experience that engages the senses as you explore the charming streetscape, historic architecture & eclectic shops and eateries of Cambridge.
The Dickens Victorian Village scenes feature outstanding streetscapes of original buildings from the 1800s & are comprised of life sized and hand-made mannequins wearing real vintage clothing. The faces for each character are individually sculpted and painted by local artists.
The displays include engaging depictions of classic Dickens-era scenes and figures such as Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim, the town crier, groups of carolers, a bucket brigade, lamplighters, school children, street peddlers, and Father Christmas, all posed in active scenes that appear frozen in time.

viewing the mannequin scenes and reading the plaques that describe their relationship to Victorian times.
• Dickens Welcome Center & Imagination Station - (at your expense) See how mannequins are made, dress
in Victorian costumes, make photo memories, and learn more about Dickens Victorian Village. You may use
your own camera/cell phone and a volunteer will gladly capture this experience.
• Guernsey County Museum (Cost Included) See the history of the local area in the oldest frame house in
Cambridge. Here you will hear the story of “A Coal Miners Christmas” by Dave Adair and be guided through a
one-room school lesson by an old-fashioned teacher.
• Queens Tea w/ Queen Victoria (Cost Included) -Enjoy a 4-Course Meal while Her Majesty Queen Victoria
shares bits of her life in London. Victorian hats/attire welcome!
• Courthouse Light Show - Watch the spectacular Dickens Courthouse Holiday Light Show synchronized
to a holiday soundtrack, with over of 65,000 lights.
