Mid-Winter Open Studio Session
What to Expect
Join us for the Mid-Winter Open Studio Session: a dedicated open studio session at Black Hound West. This period between Fall and Winter Sessions gives participants a chance to continue their work from previous classes, explore, play, make gifts, or decompress from the busy holiday season!
Participants will pay a flat rate of $310 for the session and can attend as much as they would like. Enrollment will be limited to ensure that everyone has space, and everyone who wants a wheel will be guaranteed one. Participants will sign up for either handbuilding or wheelthrowing.
Included in the price of registration: 25 pounds of clay, use of all equipment, use of our fully equipped glaze room, and firing of all work made during this session. An additional 25 pounds of clay may be purchased through our online store for use during this session. Each enrolled student will have a full shelf during the session with overflow storage nearby.
The Mid-Winter Open Studio Session is currently open to:
- those who have previously taken classes at Black Hound Clay Studio (either location)
- those currently on the waitlist for Black Hound Membership (either location)

Open studios are uninstructed but monitored by BHCS staff, who are available to answer basic questions and make sure you are using the equipment and tools safely and correctly.
Installment payment plans available:
- October 4 - November 6, 2026: 50% due upon registration, 2nd payment of 50% deducted automatically on Friday, November 20, from the card on file.
- After November 6, 2026: you must pay in full
Includes

Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy for Mid-Winter Open Studio Session:
nIf you need to withdraw, the last day to do so will be Tuesday November 25 at 5pm. There will be no exceptions made to this policy.
nRefunds for the Mid-Winter Open Studio requested before the above date are subject to a 10% administrative fee. You can request a refund via email at [email protected].
nIf withdrawing from a class due to a documented injury or illness, prorated credit will be issued. Please email [email protected] with class registration requests.
