What to Expect
Big Sheep camp is located behind Wing Ridge, accessed via the Wallowa’s highest SnoPark, Salt Creek Summit at 6200 ft.
Traveling 3 miles with light day-packs up and over 7500 ft saddle of Wing Ridge Trail#1828, eliminates the first-day slog to camp and allows for turns on the way to and from camp located at 6400ft. On the 100 road. Round trip porter service to camp via alternate route is $5/lb. If you choose to carry the load, you can circumnavigate Wing Ridge via the Wagon Rd. Trail, which is 4 miles of flat tracking.
Camp includes two sleep cabins to accommodate two different groups up to 5 with shared 20ft kitchen yurt and sauna. Exclusive use option available for booking 12.
