Trolling Tactics & Gear Setup

Buoy 10 fishing is all about trolling with herring, spinners, and plugs at varying depths to match where the salmon are holding. Your guide provides all necessary tackle, including downriggers, flashers, and a selection of proven lures that have been producing fish in these waters. We typically run multiple lines at different depths, covering the water column from surface to 40 feet down.
Your guide handles all the technical aspects while teaching you the fundamentals of Columbia River trolling. We use barbless hooks to protect the fishery and ensure quick, clean releases when needed. The boat is equipped with quality fish-fighting chairs, a large landing net, and proper fish storage to keep your catch fresh.
