What to Expect

Book one horse for yourself or add friends, family! Up to 6 riders at a time.

  • Duration: 1 Hour
  • Weight Limit: 300 pounds--MAX
    Strictly enforced
    Height/Weight proportional. Saddles measure 17” only from front to back.

  • Age Limit: Children must be at least 7 years old. Children under 7 cannot participate
    One rider per horse. Riding double is not allowed. Children may not ride with an adult.

About

One Hour trail ride on the beautiful trails at Silver Wind. We have trails through the trees and lots of creeks. Please be here 30 MINUTES EARLY FOR INSTRUCTION.

Parking:

What to Wear

  • Closed toe shoes are required
    ( no sandals, crocs, slip on shoes, walking casts, splint boots, canes or walkers)
  • Long pants recommended
    -Riders must be able to walk up four steps to platform, mount and dismount without assistance from the mounting platform, use one or both hands on the reins to keep your horse on the trail.
  • Helmets are required for ages 7-17. We provide the helmets. Please- hair must be loose or ponytails/braids begin at the nape of neck. NO BUNS OR BRAIDS ON THE HEAD
  • NO BACKPACKS FANNY PACKS OR BODY BAGS! . Medical saddle bags are provided for your inhalers, Epi- pens and diabetic or other medically necessary equipment and supplies.

By submitting payment and booking a ride, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the following policy:

Refunds are only issued in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. We do not provide refunds for missed rides or late arrivals. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled ride time.

Because each horse is reserved and prepared specifically for you, no refunds will be given if you arrive late or are unable to attend. This also prevents others from booking and enjoying the ride.

Inclement weather includes rain, storms, high winds, freezing temperatures, or heat advisories that may create unsafe riding conditions determined by Ranch Manager.

If you are not present at the time of your reservation, you will forfeit your ride and no refund will be issued. We cannot make other guests wait or shorten their riding experience due to late arrivals.

⚠️ TRAIL RIDE POLICY ⚠️

All trail rides at Silver Wind Trail Rides
n are “walk and talk” rides only. Trotting, running, racing, or attempting to make your horse go faster is strictly prohibited. Riders must follow all trail guide instructions at all times.

Any guest who trots or runs their horse, or refuses to follow guide instructions, may have their ride immediately ended and will be required to walk their horse back to the barn. No refunds will be issued for removal due to unsafe behavior.
