What to Expect
Experience the Cuyahoga Valley National Park from the Cuyahoga River! This 4-mile paddle launches from the historic Station Road access point and takes you north through the scenic, protected heart of the national park, wrapping up at Fitzwater Road.
Perfect for paddlers of all skill levels, this section of the Cuyahoga River requires attentive navigation. You will encounter natural woody debris and fun, minor rapid areas around many of the river bends, offering an exciting and authentic river adventure.
Soak in the stunning valley scenery, spot local wildlife like blue herons and bald eagles, and enjoy the peaceful flow of the river.

Equipment Rental: Top-quality single or tandem kayak, lightweight paddle, and a properly fitted USCG-approved life jacket (PFD).

Complimentary Shuttle Service: Complimentary transportation back to your vehicle at the Station Road parking lot after taking out at Fitzwater Road. (Note: If choosing the "Pedal & Paddle" option, you can skip the shuttle and use your own bicycle!)
Restrictions
Paddling Experience Recommended: This section of the Cuyahoga River requires active, attentive navigation. You will encounter natural woody debris, shallow spots, and minor rapid areas around several river bends.
Self-Rescue Knowledge: Because this is an authentic, dynamic river experience through the national park, self-rescue experience is highly recommended.
Shuttle Accessibility: Please note that our transport shuttles are not wheelchair accessible.
