You'll pass by statues that honor influential local figures like Captain James Jack, retail pioneer William Henry Belk, business leader James B. Duke, early settler Thomas Spratt with Chief Haigler, community leader Thaddeus Tate, and hospital founder Jane Wilkes. You must know how to operate a bicycle. All tours have a minimum of 2 riders. If we already have a scheduled tour you are more than welcome to join as a single rider. Rider Requirements & Bike Fit
We want everyone to have an amazing ride! Our one-size-fits-most Velotric eBikes are designed with safety, comfort, and ease of control in mind. They typically accommodate riders from 5’2″ to over 6’4″ (157 cm to 193+ cm), with adjustable stems and seat posts for a customized fit. Each bike has a maximum weight capacity of 440 lbs (Rider + cargo combined) and a Rear Rack Limit of 55 lbs
These guidelines help ensure each rider has the proper fit and confidence to enjoy the tour safely.
