Your adventure begins in the heart of Wilmington as you set out along the renowned River to Sea Bikeway—a breathtaking 15-mile route also known as the Cross-City Trail. This picturesque path meanders through Wade Park, Halyburton Park, and Empie Park, leading to the iconic Heide-Trask Drawbridge over the shimmering Intracoastal Waterway. With minimal road riding and an emphasis on safety, the trail offers smooth terrain, serene bridges, and captivating views of Wilmington’s natural landscapes.
Before hitting the trail, every tour starts with a comprehensive orientation to ensure riders are confident and comfortable operating their e-bikes. The recommended route includes a luxurious stop at Wrightsville Beach’s prestigious Trailborn Surf and Sound hotel. Here, riders can choose to dine and enjoy exclusive access to the resort’s lush Lawn & Garden areas, complete with beach chairs, loungers, and direct beach access. For those seeking more adventure, activity rentals such as kayaks, surfboards, and stand-up paddleboards are available to elevate your beach experience.
This tour is crafted for experienced riders and classified as a challenging excursion. Participants must be in good health, confident in their cycling abilities, and free from injuries or physical limitations. Covering approximately 30 miles, this journey offers a rewarding experience for those ready to embrace the challenge.
The tour includes up to 2.5 hours to unwind at the resort, enjoy the beach, or explore the surrounding area. Let this adventure immerse you in the beauty and excitement of Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach like never before!
Riding Tip: This is a fun and easy-to-navigate route! Simply follow all Route 1 signs to your destination and back.
Please arrive 20 minutes before the tour starts to ensure a smooth experience. Our tours are all about fun and enjoyment, focusing on the joy of riding e-bikes while soaking in Wilmington’s vibrant atmosphere. All self-guided tours require a refundable security deposit of $100 per rider.

Restrictions
• Not recommended for travelers with back problems
• Not recommended for travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions
• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• Not recommended for travelers under 5'0 tall
• We cannot accommodate children under the age of 13
• Not recommended for travelers with low physical fitness
• Not recommended for travelers who have not ridden a bicycle within the last seven years. We cannot give refunds for riders who arrive and cannot ride their e-bike.
• Due to the high performance of our e-bikes, we have weight limits for each. Maximum weight for the larger e-bikes is 260 lbs. and maximum weight for the smaller e-bikes ranges between 200 lbs. and 240 lbs.
• If a rider makes a reservation without being confident in their ability to ride and that rider cannot showcase an ability to ride before the tour begins, we cannot issue any refunds. We urge all persons to be confident in their ability before booking.
• Riders must be comfortable enough navigating on their own.

Cancellation Policy
Any rental or tour can be cancelled by a guest (for any reason) up to 72 hours in advance for a full refund. You must contact us for cancellations within 72 hours. All requests for refunds will be reviewed by EZ Electric Bike Tours and Rentals and will be at the sole discretion of the company. For added peace of mind, we offer a Trip Protection Plan. Our Trip Protection feature offers you the flexibility to cancel or reschedule your EZ Electric Bike Tours and Rentals for any reason up to 24 hours before the trip begins. You will be asked whether or not you would like to add Trip Protection to your reservation at checkout.
nWe offer a "Book With Confidence Guarantee." We love Wilmington, but weather conditions can change quite rapidly. If the weather changes and it rains or storms on your reservation date, the reservation will be attempted to be rescheduled as conditions improve. If your group agrees to, verbally or otherwise, and confirms a rescheduled date and we reserve your e-bikes with a tour guide for your group, cancellations beyond that point will be subject to a 30% cancellation fee.
