Airlie Gardens, one of Wilmington’s most beloved and iconic attractions, is a true feast for the senses and an absolute must-see. Spanning 67 magnificent acres, this botanical paradise boasts meticulously curated formal gardens, thriving wildlife, historic structures, ten acres of tranquil lakes, over 100,000 blooming azaleas, a seasonal butterfly house, and the awe-inspiring Airlie Oak—a 468-year-old living testament to nature’s grandeur. On this self-guided tour, you’ll enjoy a picturesque ride through Wilmington’s highlights before spending up to an hour exploring the gardens. Meander along the serene trails or opt for a tram ride to immerse yourself in the ever-changing tapestry of natural beauty.
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at our meeting point, where we’ll equip you with a state-of-the-art e-bike, helmet, and cell phone holder. Following a brief safety and training session to ensure all riders are confident, you’ll set off on a journey that seamlessly blends exploration and tranquility.
The scenic route takes you through downtown Wilmington and along the renowned River to Sea Bikeway. This dedicated bike path offers a serene escape, with winding stretches framed by lush greenery and breathtaking natural vistas. Along the way, you’ll encounter countless photo-worthy moments, leaving you with cherished memories of this captivating experience. On your way back, stop by Flying Machine Brewing Company for a cold one as reward.
Your tour package includes everything you need for a seamless adventure: an e-bike rental, helmet, small basket for personal belongings, a cell phone holder, and a provided route to navigate your way to Airlie Gardens while uncovering Wilmington’s most remarkable sights. We recommend packing a bag or bringing a lunch to enjoy while exploring the gardens.
Please arrive 20 minutes before the tour starts to ensure a smooth experience. Our tours are all about fun and enjoyment, focusing on the joy of riding e-bikes while soaking in Wilmington’s vibrant atmosphere. All self-guided tours require a refundable security deposit of $100 per rider.

Restrictions
• Not recommended for travelers with back problems
• Not recommended for travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions
• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• Not recommended for travelers under 5'0 tall
• We cannot accommodate children under the age of 13
• Not recommended for travelers with low physical fitness
• Not recommended for travelers who have not ridden a bicycle within the last seven years. We cannot give refunds for riders who arrive and cannot ride their e-bike.
• Due to the high performance of our e-bikes, we have weight limits for each. Maximum weight for the larger e-bikes is 260 lbs. and maximum weight for the smaller e-bikes ranges between 200 lbs. and 240 lbs.
• If a rider makes a reservation without being confident in their ability to ride and that rider cannot showcase an ability to ride before the tour begins, we cannot issue any refunds. We urge all persons to be confident in their ability before booking.
• Riders must be comfortable enough navigating on their own.

Cancellation Policy
Any rental or tour can be cancelled by a guest (for any reason) up to 72 hours in advance for a full refund. You must contact us for cancellations within 72 hours. All requests for refunds will be reviewed by EZ Electric Bike Tours and Rentals and will be at the sole discretion of the company. For added peace of mind, we offer a Trip Protection Plan. Our Trip Protection feature offers you the flexibility to cancel or reschedule your EZ Electric Bike Tours and Rentals for any reason up to 24 hours before the trip begins. You will be asked whether or not you would like to add Trip Protection to your reservation at checkout.
nWe offer a "Book With Confidence Guarantee." We love Wilmington, but weather conditions can change quite rapidly. If the weather changes and it rains or storms on your reservation date, the reservation will be attempted to be rescheduled as conditions improve. If your group agrees to, verbally or otherwise, and confirms a rescheduled date and we reserve your e-bikes with a tour guide for your group, cancellations beyond that point will be subject to a 30% cancellation fee.
