OIV Self Guided Tours
What to Expect
Oconaluftee Indian Village is an outdoor living-history museum where guests can explore recreated traditional Cherokee dwellings, demonstrations, and cultural exhibits at their own pace. Open Wednesdays through Saturdays during the seasonal run, the village invites visitors to immerse themselves in historic practices and daily life interpretation while enjoying the natural setting. The experience is largely outdoors on mulched paths, so guests should plan for changing weather and varied terrain.
